About Us

In the fall of 2005, a concerned group of parents formed the Inman Technology Foundation whose purpose is to encourage the Atlanta Public School system -- and Inman Middle School in particular -- to embrace and leverage technology in innovative ways that will help our children learn and achieve at higher levels.  The Inman Technology Foundation is an independent entity whose board consists of teachers, business partners, parents, and the school’s principal.

The Foundation helps Inman identify, evaluate, procure, and deploy technological tools that support the school’s achievement goals and accelerate our children’s educational development.  These technologies must be sustainable, and consistent with the school’s curriculum and its instructional focus. The Foundation believes that technology in addition to its educational value should reduce, not increase, administrative burdens on teachers and staff.

The Foundation pursues a range of projects that incubate new techniques for using technology in support of curriculum goals, provide students with an opportunity to learn the tools of a modern society/workplace, promote student-centered collaborative inquiry, and reduce administrative burdens on Teachers and Administrators.

The Inman Middle School Technology Foundation, working with the Atlanta Public School System, works to identify and employ transformational technologies that will improve and enhance learning and achievement for the diverse student population that we serve.
